4 Ways to a Prepaid Credit Card

If you're in the market to find a new prepaid credit card, I'm going to tell you right now that there are a lot of them out there. Sure, it can get rather overwhelming just by looking at all of them, but let me show you how you can find the perfect card for your wallet. By following my guidelines, and tips, you should be able to get a card that best suits you.

Major logo: Always make sure that the card that you get has a major logo. What you're going to find out is that if you apply for a card with some no name bank, no one is going to accept the card! Never apply for a card that says you can spend with their "special" store, and other retailers. This is just a big joke. Trust me; you're going to want to stay away from this one.

Fees! There are a lot of fees in the prepaid credit world. In my opinion, you're going to want to find a card that has next to no fees. Do they exist? Yes, they do, but you want to make sure that you read all of the terms, and conditions when doing your homework, because you're going to find that some do some nasty tricks to get you to sign up. The more homework you do, the better it's going to be for you.

Rewards: Yes, there are actually some cards out there that have rewards. My favorite of them all are the ones that will give you rewards just by letting the banks hold your money. A good and honest bank will allow you to gain interest on your deposit. What you're going to find out is that say, Bank A will give you 5% on your deposit, while Bank B will charge you 5% for them to hold it. Who are you going to bank with in this scenario? It's obviously a no brainer on that one.

Reviews: If you're anything like me, you want never want to go out there, and just apply for the first card, or thing that you see. Instead, you're going to want to go out, do your homework, and see what other people think of the product. If they have good intentions, then you will want to apply for it. If they bad mouth it, and you think that everyone hates it, then you may want to look at another card. Remember that there are thousands of cards out there, and you don't have to settle for just one.

With so many prepaid cards out there, make sure that you do your homework, and follow the advice above. I can promise you that if you do so, you're going to find out that you can find the best card for your wallet. So not only are you going to be able to control your spending, you're also going to find out that you can get a card that works for you, instead of eating you up with fees.
